Who we are
The South Eastern Furniture Training Association LTD (SEFTA) is an organization owned and run by its member companies in the furniture and timber industry, located in Kent and East Sussex. It was established in 1971 with the following aims and objectives:
- To organise training and Health & Safety activities for member companies
- To co-operate with other training organisations and authorities
- To arrange any other activities considered to be beneficial to member companies
what our members receive
One of the prime benefits of memberships is that we employ our own Health & Safety and Training Officer, who spends one day every three weeks at each company as their Health & Safety Officer, personnel department trainer and more. This service is tailored to suit each company's needs and covers the following:
- Current legislation covering all Health & Safety at Work Regulations
- Guidance on employment law
- Interview, selection and placement of trainees or apprentices
- In-company and off-the-job training for your staff
- In short, he will provide expert advice on personnel, health & safety and training issues - leaving you free to concentrate on running your own business
